ACA Score Sheet Sessions Training for Coaches is FREE for ACA members!

This session is NOT for Game Day or Performance Cheer. Individuals that need support in these areas can contact judge@albertacheerleading.ca

Understanding scoring is one of your most important responsibilities to your team. Your attendance will equip you with the knowledge and background for scoring methods. This session is for All Star & Scholastic coaches wanting to learn more about the comparative scoring system and how to maximize the score sheet.

What are the steps to renew your Scholastic Cheer Coach Course?

STEP 1: Ensure your course has not expired

  • ACA courses expire 3-years after the course date.

  • Coaches must register for the applicable “Renewal Course” before their course expires.

  • If the course has expired, the coach will not be permitted to complete the Renewal Course and will be required to register and complete the complete course for the level they are coaching.

STEP 2: ACA Scholastic Cheer Coach Course Renewal

  1. Register for the course ($26.00).

  2. Complete the online Rules and Regulations Exam covering Canadian Scholastic ICU Rules and Regulations and Cheer Canada Score Sheets.

  3. The ACA will contact you to schedule your virtual, Practical Skills Assessment.

  4. Complete the Practical Skills Assessment with an ACA Instructor.

STEP 3: Review all certification requirements

  • Review all ACA-required courses to ensure you have completed current requirements.

  • Check the expiry dates of your First Aid / CPR and Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector to ensure they will not expire while you are coaching; update if needed.

STEP 4: Coach Profile

  • Review the accuracy of your ACA member Coach profile and update your profile if needed.

STEP 5: Certification

  • The ACA will issue a PDF certificate recognizing your updated Scholastic Cheer Coach Certification.

STEP 6: Get coaching!
