The Alberta Cheerleading Association is now accepting applications for volunteers to join our
2026–2027 committees!

Committees provide an opportunity for members to contribute to the growth and development of cheerleading in Alberta while sharing their expertise, ideas, and passion for the sport.

Whether you are a coach, judge, athlete, parent, club owner, or supporter of cheerleading, we encourage you to consider getting involved.

MARKETING & PROMOTIONS

The ACA Marketing & Promotions Committee is dedicated to increasing awareness and appreciation of cheerleading throughout Alberta while promoting the programs, events, and competitions offered by the Alberta Cheerleading Association. Through creative marketing, storytelling, social media, community outreach, and strategic communications, the committee works to showcase the positive impact of cheerleading and engage athletes, families, coaches, officials, volunteers, and the broader community. We welcome individuals with a passion for marketing, communications, and promoting the growth and visibility of cheerleading across Alberta.

EVERY KID CAN PLAY

The Alberta Cheerleading Association is proud to have received funding through the Government of Alberta's Every Kid Can Play Grant. Our committee is working collaboratively to develop initiatives that reduce barriers to participation, expand access to cheerleading opportunities, and support growth across communities throughout Alberta. As these exciting projects take shape, we welcome members who are passionate about growing our sport to get involved, contribute with expanding our initiatives, and help create lasting opportunities for more athletes to experience cheerleading. Together, we can make an even greater impact across our province.

PLANNING

Joining the Event Planning Committee for the Alberta Cheerleading Association is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of cheerleading across Alberta while making a meaningful impact on athletes, coaches, and families. Committee members play an important role in planning exciting events, enhancing athlete experiences, supporting the growth of the sport, and bringing fresh ideas to the table. It’s a chance to build valuable leadership and networking skills, collaborate with passionate volunteers and industry professionals, and contribute to creating memorable programs that strengthen the cheerleading community. Whether you are a coach, parent, athlete, or supporter of the sport, serving on the committee allows you to give back, make new connections, and help drive the continued success of cheerleading in Alberta.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

The ACA High Performance Committee is committed to identifying, developing, and preparing Alberta’s top athletes and coaches to represent our province with pride. As provincial team programs continue to expand across Canada, Team Alberta provides a pathway for athletes and coaches from every region of the province to train, grow, and compete together. We are building a culture rooted in excellence, collaboration, and long-term development. If you are passionate about high performance, athlete growth, and being part of a united provincial community, we invite you to join us!

SPORTSMANSHIP

The Sportsmanship Committee aims to promote a culture of respect, integrity, and positive behavior throughout the Alberta cheerleading community. The committee works to encourage good sportsmanship among athletes, coaches, parents, and spectators by fostering an environment where fair play, inclusion, and mutual support are valued. Key objectives include developing educational resources, recognizing and celebrating positive examples of sportsmanship, and promoting respectful conduct at competitions and events. The committee also seeks to strengthen communication and collaboration across the cheerleading community to ensure all participants feel welcomed and supported.

COACHING

The ACA Coaching Committee is committed to supporting and strengthening cheerleading across Alberta. We promote an inclusive, accessible sport by advocating for growth in communities of all sizes, including rural and underserved areas. Through coach education, leadership initiatives, collaboration, and resource development, we support coaches at both the scholastic and All Star levels, helping build strong, sustainable programs. We welcome individuals who are passionate about advancing coach development, leadership, and the future of cheerleading in Alberta.
