Disputes & Appeals

(Post-event)

All ACA judging decisions are final.

Should a coach have a concern or complaint regarding judging results for their team at an ACA-sanctioned competition, the following steps must be taken:

  1. Within 5 days of the competition, submit an email outlining the concern to the ACA at judging@albertacheerleading.ca

  2. The email must be copied to the ACA Executive Director at executivedirector@albertacheerleading.ca and the school or club contact (e.g. Scholastic Program Advisor or Principal, Club owner).

  3. Upon receipt of the email, the ACA will review the concern, consult with the appropriate judges, and provide a response via email within 7 days.

Advisory Note:

Verbal confrontation or any unsportsmanlike conduct toward judges, ACA staff, contractors, or volunteers is prohibited and could result in compliance measures being taken, including suspension from the ACA.

For Metro Zones and ASAA Senior High Provincial competitions, an appeal may be submitted to the ASAA. For information regarding this process, please visit the ASAA website at www.asaa.ca and contact the ASAA Commissioner for Cheerleading.
