Supporting School Spirit Award

The Supporting School Spirit Award was created to recognize teams that may or may not be competitive, but work towards increasing their school spirit. The ACA recognizes that there are many different components and perspectives on cheerleading throughout the province. With this in mind the ACA wants to recognize cheerleading teams that support school athletics and school spirit. In order to recognize teams for the cheering efforts beyond the competitive level, the ACA has elected to create a recognition award for those teams who support their school teams.

The Levels

  • Bronze: 5 - 10 Events
  • Silver: 11 - 15 Events
  • Gold: 16 - 20 Events
  • Platinum: 21 + Events

What constitutes an event?

  • Home or away game
  • Pep Rallies or School Spirit building events
  • Any non-competition event in which the cheer team is representing their school

What constitutes an event cheered?

An event cheered means that the cheer team was active in leading a crowd of people in cheering. It is not necessary to perform a routine, rather involve the crowd in cheering.
