The Executive Director contributes to the development and execution of the Strategic Plan to guide the ACA. This position establishes and oversees the operational procedures to meet the objectives of the Board of Directors. An important function of this role is to establish and grow relationships with members of the ACA, partner groups, sponsors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible for managing all ACA finances, human resources, programs and events.
EVENTS & TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
The Events and Technical Coordinator is responsible for the technical and administrative tasks relating to the development of cheerleading throughout Alberta. This position provides services to members including the development of coaches' certification, and coordination of events including the annual ACA True North Cheer and Dance Championships, Coaches' Conference, and Cheer ACAdemy. This role is responsible for the recruitment and training of judges and will handle all areas related to judging at sanctioned events. The Events and Technical Coordinator is also involved in initiatives regarding the development of cheerleading in Alberta such as the updating documents and policies, revisions of rules and the developments of a Long Term Athlete Development model.
MEMBER SERVICES COORDINATOR
The Member Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for all ACA members. The focus of this role is to provide services for the benefit of the ACA members including membership registration, insurance support and registration, execution of public communications including website, social media, and electronic newsletters. In addition, this position is responsible for monitoring membership statistics and recommending initiatives to support membership satisfaction.
ACA Executive and Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who have a great love for the sport of cheerleading. The Executive consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Along with the Executive Committee, three to five additional Directors form the Board of Directors.
