The ACA office staff work hard throughout the season planning various events, sanctioning of events and communicating with the membership
The Executive Director contributes to the development and execution of the Strategic Plan to guide the ACA. This position establishes and oversees the operational procedures to meet the objectives of the Board of Directors. An important function of this role is to establish and grow relationships with members of the ACA, partner groups, sponsors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. In addition, the Executive Director is responsible for managing all ACA finances, human resources, programs and events.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the technical and administrative tasks relating to the development of cheerleading throughout Alberta. This position provides services to members including the coordination of coaches' certification, judges' training and events including the annual ACA True North Cheer and Dance Championships, Coaches' Conference, and Cheer ACAdemy. The Program Coordinator is also involved in initiatives regarding the development of cheerleading in Alberta such as updating documents and policies and revisions of rules.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who have a great love for the sport of cheerleading. The Executive consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Along with the Executive, three to five additional Directors form the Board of Directors.
